Antai’s MBA program ranked 2nd in Top 100 Chinese MBA list


On December 23, 2020, the Chinese Business School Education Awards 2020 was held in Beijing. The event announced a number of awards and rankings of Chinese business schools in 2020. In the most compelling “Top 100 Chinese MBA Programs in 2020”, the MBA program of Antai College of Economics and Management, SJTU ranks 2nd for its enterprising attitude and its attempts to explore and innovate unceasingly and integrate industry research concepts into the training process. The MBA program of School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University and the MBA program of Guanghua School of Management, Peking University rank first and third respectively. This Top 100 ranking reflects the core mission and development direction of Chinese business schools at present.
At the same time, the event unveiled Top 10 popular professors of Chinese business schools, including Professor Xu Xin from Tsinghua SEM, Professor Chen Chunhua from National School of Development, Peking University, Professor Lu Ming from Antai College of Economics and Management, SJTU, and Professor Ye Qiang from School of Management, Harbin Institute of Technology. Professor Lu Ming couldn’t be present in person, so he specially shared his thoughts on teaching at Antai via video. After years of diligent work, the ten award-winning professors have become leaders in business education by virtue of their exceptional teaching, research and innovation capabilities. In their teaching career, they pursue both professional excellence and moral integrity. They are deemed both a role model for teachers and a good friend for students.
Antai’s China Leaders for Global Operations (CLGO) program was awarded the “Most Unique Chinese MBA Program in 2020”. As the first full-time, interdisciplinary MBA program in China, the CLGO program is jointly initiated by SJTU’s Antai College, School of Mechanical Engineering and School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, and developed in partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The program adopts the model of MIT’s prestigious Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) program, while combining with Chinese business characteristics and management practices. It has gained support from and built partnership with famous multinational companies and local companies. By capitalizing on SJTU’s discipline advantages and characteristics in the field of engineering and management, the CLGO program seeks to train modern versatile management elites who possess leadership skills and excel in engineering management theory and practice.
Besides, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Antai MBA Alumni Association won the “Outstanding Alumni Organization Award for Chinese Business Schools in 2020”. Established in 2018, Antai MBA Alumni Association was renamed after Shanghai Jiao Tong University MBA Alumni Association (established in 1997) under the guidance of the college. The alumni association is committed to uniting and serving the alumni, promoting the connections between Antai’s MBA alumni at home and abroad and between alumni and their alma mater, and supporting each other’s career development. Relying on the brand influence of the college as a global leading business school, Antai focuses on innovation and entrepreneurship, takes knowledge and capital as the driving force, and establishes the concept of lifelong learning.
