How blue 'sex pills' are abused and their dangers

At one point or another in a man’s life, he may have difficulty getting an erection.Erectile Dysfunction, commonly known as ED, has been around since ancient times. To get more news about vigrx plus results, you can visit vigrxplus-original.com official website.

Early attempts to treat the problem were not successful but it was until the early 1990s that the Blue Pill (Viagra) hit the shelves of pharmaceutical stores.
A 59-year-old man had died in Migori after reportedly taking sexual enhancement drugs in readiness for his mistress who changed her mind at the last minute.

What is it?
The drug was first approved in 1998 and was the first effective oral therapy to treat ED. Other drugs that work in a similar manner as Viagra, Tadalafil and Vardenafil were approved.

While sex pills are commonly associated with men, it has become evident that female users are increasingly interested in treating low sexual desire.

The drugs are increasingly being abused, prompting the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya (PSK) to raise a red flag and warn the public against the use of the pills without the advice of a qualified medical practitioner.

"The use of these medicines without prior medical evaluation makes one more prone to their harmful effects," PSK said in a statement in January 2021.

'Sex pills’ are generally medications that work and are prescribed and recommended by doctors, but there are also unlicensed tablets that are sold over the counter.

There are also non-licensed sex pills, which include herbal products. These kinds of pills aren’t proven to work and can actually be dangerous, no one is sure about what they contain and how the combination of ingredients could affect the body.

Doctors have advised that if you don’t have an actual sex-related problem and are just looking to improve your sex life, sex pills would not be the right way to go.
People often use these drugs to increase sexual confidence, prevent premature ejaculation, erection quality, and for better sexual performance.

Others simply use them to reverse temporary erectile dysfunction caused by, for example, alcohol or other recreational drugs.

An occasional inability to have or sustain an erection doesn’t automatically signal ED.

Doctors insist one could see big improvements to their sex life by making changes to lifestyle, getting counselling or therapy, or talking things through with their partner.

While some men may be able to remedy their conditions by making small changes to their lifestyle, others may struggle to regain their virility.

According to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, men between 40 to 70 years of age are at a heightened risk of developing erectile dysfunction complications.

Research has also shown that prolonged use of male enhancement pills in young men can actually lead to difficulty in maintaining an erection without the use of the drugs.

Other factors are excessive alcohol consumption, smoking, obesity, diabetes, depression, anxiety, and prostate cancer.

Sex pills have side effects with the normal ones being headaches, dizziness, nasal and chest congestion, body aches, vision problems and flushed skin.

There are also severe side effects which priapism-an erection that lasts more than four hours and does go away on its own. One could also experience abrupt changes in hearing and severe vision loss.

As for the severe side effects, the users will experience a mild and short-lived decrease in blood pressure and potential for cardiac risk for patients with pre-existing cardiovascular disease.
